For 250 years, we have been one nation, under God! As a nation, we need to be standing shoulder to shoulder, united in a common goal and purpose. That’s what bound us together 250 years ago, and it’s what will bind us together today and moving forward.
Our country is a great experiment of a republic in service to God. Psalm 33:12 says, “How blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people whom he has chosen to be his special possession.” God has chosen Israel to be His special possession. I believe this verse was meant for them. But it can apply to the United States as well if we return to having God as our LORD.
Today, as we celebrate 250 years as one nation under God, let us each take a moment to thank God for our great nation and to pray for our future. I believe our country is still good at our heart; there are far more Christian believers who follow God than we realize. We are still the silent majority.
Let us stand up in the power and strength of Almighty God and make Him known again in our nation. Let’s rally around this battle cry to return to a nation united under one God, Thee God and Father of our LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ.
