The photo to the left was taken from the James Webb Telescope deep in outer space. It’s a beautiful photo of a black hole. The colors and the clarity of what is happening in this picture are stunning. In the center is a black hole of nothingness.

To my knowledge and research, no one or apparatus has been inside a black hole, so we don’t know what’s in there. There are many theories: that it’s a transport portal to another dimension of space or a bottomless pit of nothingness that will suck anything around it into. I wonder if it’s the place angels travel back and forth to Earth from. In its beauty, there is great mystery.

We are all born with a symbolic hole in our hearts that can only be filled by God. An emptiness that nags at us until it is filled by the goodness and wholeness only found in Jesus’ sacrifice and forgiveness. A spiritual black hole.

I have found that I have a continual hunger for the presence of God. I experience this presence through worshipping Jesus. What He has done for us on the cross can never be undone, no matter what the world says. I praise God for that.

Truth is our foundation as followers of Jesus. It is not affected by opinions or cultural relativity. Truth is unshakable and unchangeable! You can take that to the bank.

Jesus, fill up the black holes that remain in my heart with Your presence and Your wholeness.
