By now, we all know about the assassination of Charlie Kirk. He was a conservative, outspoken young man who made great strides in reaching the youth on our college campuses. He wasn’t quiet about the truth or his faith in Jesus Christ.
Charlie said that above everything, he wanted to be remembered for his courage and faith. He shared the Gospel of Jesus at nearly every event that his organization, Turning Point USA, hosted.
What made Charlie so successful? I believe he was living out his calling. This was the ministry God had designed for him. It is my sincere hope that his death will spawn a nation full of young people who will answer the call and follow in Charlie’s footsteps, not only as courageous vocal speakers of truth, but also as outspoken followers of Jesus.
Let’s pray for Charlie’s family as well. He was a son, husband, and father. Pray especially for his wife, Erika, who is now tasked with raising two children who will never have their father to guide them through their lives.
Rest in peace, Charlie. Well done!
