What does it mean to MAGNIFY the Lord? The easy answer is to put a spotlight on Him. To exalt and champion Him. In what ways do we do that? Yes, we exalt Him in our worship, but what other ways can we magnify Him?
What does it look like to magnify Him with our life? What about our work or play time? God wants to be our ALL-IN-ALL. He wants to be in it all and be seen through it all. What does that look like?
It means we honor God with our integrity when no one else is looking, in our private spaces and thoughts. Yes, God knows every thought and motive we have; so He already knows us in our secret places.
We should honor God in our anger, hurt, marriages, work relationships, and even with the boss or supervisor. It means we don’t steal office supplies, or utilize them for personal use without paying for them. Including stamps! But do we?
We allow ourselves to cool down before we respond to that coworker, spouse, or child. It means we are honest in our hurt. Because anger and hurt go hand-in-hand.
I want every fiber of my being to magnify God. That means sharing His great gift of love whenever I have the opportunity. It means lifting Him up instead of myself. It means He gets the credit instead of me for a job well done or an act of selflessness. It means “To God Be The Glory” in all things.
“I will praise the LORD at all times; my mouth will continually praise Him. I will boast in the LORD; let the oppressed hear and rejoice! Magnify the LORD with me! Let’s praise his name together!” Psalm 34:1-3
